Simmered Kumquats And Prunes

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 cup prune, pitted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 6 kumquats, sliced

Recipe

  • 1 cover prunes with cold water and soak overnight.
  • 2 simmer until tender in the same water.
  • 3 add half the sugar and cook five minutes longer.
  • 4 remove prunes; measure 1/2 cup juice, add orange juice, remaining sugar and kumquats and simmer until kumquats are tender.
  • 5 add prunes.
