Sweet And Sour Fiddleheads

Ingredients

- 1 lb fiddlehead, washed, cleaned, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground mustard
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon butter
- salt and pepper
Recipe
- 1 cook fiddleheads in boiling salted water for 12 - 15 min or until just tender. drain and place in a serving dish.
- 2 meanwhile, combine the remaining ingredients in a saucepan and bring just to a boil. reduce heat and simmer 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- 3 pour this sauce over the cooked fiddleheads in the serving bowl.
- 4 serve immediately.
