Pickled Beets

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 can sliced beet
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 sliced onion (but good) (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 drain beets saving liquid.
  • 2 add water to beet liquid to measure one cup.
  • 3 in a saucepan combine sugar, vinegar and cinnamon stick.
  • 4 heat to boiling.
  • 5 pour over beets.
  • 6 cover and refrigerate at least twelve (12) hours.
