Macaroni And Cheese

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 5
  • 12 ounces macaroni
  • 2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups extra-sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup velveeta cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 -2 garlic clove
  • 1/2 medium yellow onion
  • 3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Recipe

  • 1 cook macaroni as usual.
  • 2 chop onion and garlic.
  • 3 melt 2tbs butter or margarine in skillet.
  • 4 add chopped onion and garlic.
  • 5 sautee until fragrant.
  • 6 preheat oven to 350.
  • 7 in a large bowl mix remaining ingredients (nil last tbs of butter and breadcrumbs).
  • 8 add onion and garlic and melted butter.
  • 9 melt last tablespoon of butter in microwave.
  • 10 in a separate bowl, mix breadcrumbs with butter and an extra sprinkle of paprika.
  • 11 set aside.
  • 12 drain macaroni and add to the same large bowl with the ingredients.
  • 13 stir until cheese is melted or almost melted.
  • 14 pour in to lightly greased casserole dish.
  • 15 sprinkle breadcrumb mixture evenly over top of casserole.
  • 16 bake for 20 minutes.
  • 17 let cool a little before serving.
