Savannah Red Rice

Ingredients

- 6 slices bacon
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (16 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 3 teaspoons creole seasoning
- 1/2 lb kielbasa, chopped
- 1 cup uncooked rice, , cooked and cooled
Recipe
- 1 fry bacon until crisp and remove from pan and crumble.
- 2 in remaining bacon fat, saute onion, green pepper and garlic until tender add creole seasoning and cook another 2 minutes.
- 3 add bacon, kiebasa, tomatoes and tomato sauce and simmer for about 1 hour.
- 4 start with part of rice and mix with sauce and keep adding rice until all is mixed in well.
- 5 put in 9x13 pan and cover and bake at 350 for about 30 to 40 minutes.
