Grits Souffle'

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 2 cups grits
- 8 cups water
- 8 ounces gouda cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 8 tablespoons butter
- 4 egg yolks, beaten
- 4 egg whites, beaten stiff
- 1 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 cook grits in salted water.
- 2 when cooked remove from heat, add cheese, butter, garlic and egg yolks.
- 3 stir until cheese and butter have melted.
- 4 fold in egg whites.
- 5 put in greased casserole. (i use an 8x8).
- 6 bake @ 350 degrees f for 45 minutes.
