Lamb In Cider

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 1/2 lbs lean boneless lamb, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 cups apple cider or 1 1/2 cups apple juice
  • 1/2 carrot, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Recipe

  • 1 combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder and 1/4 tsp black pepper. dredge cubed lamb.
  • 2 heat oil in skillet. brown lamb until brown on all sides. place in slow cooker.
  • 3 return skillet to heat and add onion and apple cider until warm. then pour into slow cooker.
  • 4 add carrots rosemary, salt and 1/2 tsp pepper. stir. place bay leaf on top.
  • 5 cover and cook low 4-6 hours.
  • 6 serve over hot rice.
