Tearoom Scones

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups bisquick
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon grated lemon peel (optional)
Recipe
- 1 combine bisquick, sugar, cinnamon and walnuts.
- 2 stir in sour cream, 3 t butter, the egg and peel. mix quickly and gently to form dough.
- 3 knead gently 8 to 10 times on floured surface. pat into 6" circle & cut into 8 wedges.
- 4 brush with remainder of butter; sprinkle with additional sugar and cinnamon.
- 5 bake on ungreased baking sheet in 425 oven 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
