Tearoom Scones

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups bisquick
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon grated lemon peel (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 combine bisquick, sugar, cinnamon and walnuts.
  • 2 stir in sour cream, 3 t butter, the egg and peel. mix quickly and gently to form dough.
  • 3 knead gently 8 to 10 times on floured surface. pat into 6" circle & cut into 8 wedges.
  • 4 brush with remainder of butter; sprinkle with additional sugar and cinnamon.
  • 5 bake on ungreased baking sheet in 425 oven 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
