Southern Railway Salisbury Steak

Ingredients
- 2 cups freshly ground beef
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- salt and pepper, as desired
- butter, for sauteeing
Recipe
- 1 sauté the finely chopped onion until clear. with clean hands carefully mix all of the ingredients together until a uniform mixture is obtained. place mixture in the refrigerator for about an hour, then form into oblong "steaks". fry in butter until light brown on each side and serve with your favorite mushroom sauce.
