Masterpiece Cornbread

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 1/2 cups self-rising cornmeal, mix
  • 1/3 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups bulgarian style whole buttermilk
  • 3 dashes salt
  • 3 tablespoons oil

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 475 degrees.
  • 2 mix all dry ingredients.
  • 3 pour oil in iron skillet and heat.
  • 4 sprinkle 1 heaping tablespoon of dry ingredients in skillet.
  • 5 add buttermilk and eggs to dry.
  • 6 ingredients.
  • 7 mix well and pour into hot skillet.
  • 8 cook about 25 minutes.
