Tex-mex Mexican Rice Recipe From Gigi

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 cup uncooked rice (not instant rice)
  • 2 1/2 cups water

Recipe

  • 1 heat oil in frying pan.
  • 2 add onion, garlic and rice; fry about 3 minutes or until rice is golden, stirring occasionally.
  • 3 add salt, chili powder, and water.
  • 4 stir and cover tightly.
