My Pecan Pie

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup dark karo syrup or 1 cup light karo syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2/3 cup pecans
  • 1 unbaked pie shell (do not use a deep pie crust)

Recipe

  • 1 beat eggs well.
  • 2 mix sugar, starch and salt.
  • 3 add beaten eggs.
  • 4 stir in syrup.
  • 5 stir in pecans.
  • 6 pour into unbaked pie shell.
  • 7 bake at 350 degrees for approximately 40 minutes.
  • 8 pie will be soupy when hot but will congeal as it cools.
