Spoon Bread Soufflé

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1 teaspoon butter or 1 teaspoon margarine
  • 2/3 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/3 cups boiling water
  • 2/3 cup 1% low-fat milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 450°f.
  • 2 use the butter or margarine to grease two 2-cup baking dishes.
  • 3 sift the cornmeal, sugar and salt together. pour in the water and stir until smooth.
  • 4 beat in the milk, eggs and baking powder.
  • 5 pour the batter into the greased dishes. set on a cookie sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, until puffed and golden brown.
