Raspberry Vinegar

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs raspberries
  • 2 cups vinegar
  • sugar
  • brandy (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 mash berries; add vinegar and let stand for 4 days, stirring daily.
  • 2 strain; to each cup of liquid add one cup of sugar.
  • 3 bring to a boil and cook for 20 minutes.
  • 4 strain and if desired, add 2 ounces brandy per quart of finished vinegar and bottle.
  • 5 store in refrigerator.
