Pecan Rice Dressing

Ingredients

- 1 cup green onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup red bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 teaspoons seasoning salt
- 1 cup long grain rice
- 1 cup wild rice
- 2 tablespoons parsley
- 1 1/2 cups pecan pieces, toasted
Recipe
- 1 in a large saucepan, saute the onion and bell peppers in the butter until tender.
- 2 add the chicken broth and seasoned salt and bring to a boil.
- 3 add the uncooked rice and return mixture to a boil.
- 4 reduce heat to low, cover and cook for 20-25 minutes until rice is completely done.
- 5 uncover and remove from heat.
- 6 top with chopped parsley and toasted pecan pieces.
- 7 stir slightly and serve.
