Mississippi Mud Cake - Shortcut Version

Ingredients

- 2 (19 1/2 ounce) packages brownie mix
- 1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped pecans, toasted
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) bag miniature marshmallows
- 1 (16 ounce) package powdered sugar, sifted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/3 cup cocoa
Recipe
- 1 prepare brownie mixes according to package directions, stirring in chopped pecans.
- 2 bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
- 3 while brownie mix is baking combine powdered sugar, milk, butter and cocoa. beat all ingredients at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth.
- 4 when brownie mix cake is done, remove from oven.
- 5 top warm cake evenly with marshmallows.
- 6 return to oven and bake 5 minutes.
- 7 remove from oven and drizzle chocolate frosting over warm cake.
