Sausage Gravy

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 lb ground sausage (we prefer sage sausage)
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup brewed coffee
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 place sausage in a skillet (cast iron is best) and brown.
  • 2 add flour and brown.
  • 3 add milk and water.
  • 4 simmer until it is the thickness you desire.
  • 5 stir in the coffee to the mixture.
  • 6 if to thick, add more milk.
  • 7 serve over your favorite biscuits.
